Labour win Cardiff North from Tories

Anna McMorrin has won Cardiff North from the Conservatives as Labour continue to do well in Wales.

The Labour candidate won 26,081 votes, increasing her party’s share¬†of the vote by 11.9 per cent from 2015. Tory candidate Craig Williams lost his seat, which he won by a 2,137 vote majority in 2015.

The Conservatives are yet to make the gains in Wales that were predicted when the election was announced on 18 April.
